Lap Band Update

In recent years, Medicare has come forward with paying for the lap band procedure as more health care providers now realize that the cost of lap band surgery is less than the cost of a number of years of obesity-related medical issues.

Among the medical issues related to having too much weight on one’s body are things like hypertension, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and Type 2 Diabetes. Some of these diseases that are weight related can ultimately lead to much bigger problems than just one’s weight.
